Mr Stein is one half of Doucette & Stein, the law firm at which Will works. He was portrayed by Gene Wilder.
Biography[]
Mr. Stein first appears in the fifth season episode Boardroom and a Parked Place, having been absent due to working at the London office (although it is revealed that he was actually in a mental institution).
He is noticeably absent-minded and has short-term memory loss, needing to be constantly reminded of his identity and surroundings. He also has a tendency to break out into song.
He shows blatant favoritism towards Will, causing Will's colleagues (including Roz and Gary) to resent him.
In Sex, Losers and Videotape, he has a brief love affair with Karen.
