Jason Nidorf "Max" Mutchnick is an American television producer and writer who co-created and produced Will & Grace with business partner David Kohan.

Will & Grace[]

Mutchnick wrote the primary plot of Will & Grace based on his relationship with his childhood friend Janet Eisenberg, a New York City voice-over casting agent. They met while rehearsing a play at Temple Emanuel in Beverly Hills, California at age of 13.[1] Similar to Will and Grace, Mutchnick and Eisenberg also dated. After going off to different colleges, he went out of the closet and though it came as a shock to her, they remained friends. Eisenberg also introduced Mutchnick to David Kohan who was part of the drama department at Beverly Hills High School at the time.

Awards and Nominations[]

He has received an Emmy Award, a People's Choice Award, and several Golden Globe Award nominations for his work on Will & Grace.
