Chris Potter is a Canadian actor who played Will's ex-boyfriend Michael.
Prior to being cast as Michael, Potter has worked with Eric McCormack when he guest starred in the 1994 Western TV series Lonesome Dove. According to McCormack, Potter's character tied him to a chair in a saloon, and "beat the shit" out of him.[1]
